Carla Brown joined the Australian Centre for Field Robotics (ACFR) as Research and Business Development Manager in 2016. She came to the ACFR with a broad background in engineering and law, having gained experience in the manufacturing industry and as an intellectual property specialist. She holds a degree in Engineering from the University of Cape Town and a degree in law from the University of South Africa.
Within the ACFR Carla plays a key role in the development and commercialisation of intellectual property, and is well positioned to engage with industry, government, NGOs and entrepreneurs to foster collaborative research and technology commercialisation. The ACFR is the largest robotics and automation research group in Australia and one of the largest of its kind in the world.
